Privacy and Affiliate Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure (the short version)
Some links on Gocoppi are paid affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for the tool, Gocoppi may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we would actually use ourselves. See the About page for the editorial rules that govern which tools we link to.
You will see an inline disclosure block above the first affiliate link in every article that contains one.
Data we collect
When you visit gocoppi.com, two analytics tools record what happens on the site:
Google Analytics 4
- What it captures: pageviews, referrer URL, approximate location (country / region), device type, browser, and time on page. Standard GA4 defaults.
- What it does NOT capture: form input contents (we have no forms beyond the contact email link), payment details (we sell nothing), or your IP address (GA4 anonymizes).
- Cookie: GA4 sets
_gaand similar cookies for visitor recognition. - Provider: Google. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
PostHog
- What it captures: pageviews, click locations, scroll depth, session replay video (so we can see how readers actually use the site).
- What it does NOT capture: the content of any input field. All inputs are masked by default in session replay (no email addresses, no card numbers, no anything that would be PII). We have configured this explicitly via
maskAllInputs:true. - Cookie: PostHog sets a session cookie for visitor recognition.
- Provider: PostHog. Subject to PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Why we do not show a cookie banner
Gocoppi is targeted at US-based dental and med spa practices. We are well below the CCPA enforcement threshold (annual revenue under $25 million; tracking fewer than 100,000 California residents). Nothing in our analytics setup triggers GDPR consent requirements as long as the audience stays US-only. If our audience expands to include EU readers at meaningful volume, this page will be updated and a consent mechanism added before then.
How to opt out
- GA4: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- PostHog: any standard cookie blocker (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, browser tracking-prevention) will block PostHog.
- Both at once: browse in private/incognito mode.
How affiliate links work technically
When you click a link styled as a CTA on a Gocoppi article (typically a button or a clearly-marked "Try X" link), you are routed through gocoppi.com/go/[program-name] first. That intermediate URL is logged in our analytics so we can see which articles drive the most clicks, and then it 302-redirects you to the actual partner signup page. The redirect happens server-side in under 100 milliseconds. You do not need to do anything; it works the same as a normal link.
